ABOUT ME

Emma Hagert (she/her) is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and MA candidate at Parsons School of Design. She specializes in media development and social impact storytelling. With a foundation in journalism and film from Boston University, Emma has created compelling narratives across both nonfiction and fictional mediums.
Her professional experience includes reporting for ABC News, The Boston Globe Newton, as well as internationally on The Pat Kenny Show at Newstalk FM in Dublin, Ireland. More recently, Emma served as a documentary post-production intern at Hyrax Film Company.
Emma is dedicated to using her diverse background and ongoing graduate studies to develop meaningful, socially conscious documentaries that elevate underrepresented voices and stories.
