ABOUT ME
Emma Hagert (she/her) is a recent journalism and film graduate at Boston University with experience creating nonfiction and fictional narratives for visual storytelling mediums.
She also has experience reporting for the Boston Globe Newton and the Daily Free Press, Boston University's independent student newspaper. Emma has interned for The Pat Kenny show on Newstalk FM in Dublin, Ireland, and for the Chronicle TV-magazine and News department at WCVB Channel 5 Boston.
Before moving to the northeast for school, Emma grew up in Austin, TX, where she honed her love for Latin American culture and passion for advocacy. She is an avid traveler having studied and worked in Spain and Ireland.
She hopes to use her experiences as well as the knowledge she gleans from others to create meaningful narratives as well as share influential stories.
